Useful Terminology
A Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS) program prepares a secondary school graduate for specific jobs while also further administering a general education. A Diploma of Vocational Studies program frequently involves 600 to 1,800 hours over a timespan of 6-18 months.
An Attestation of Vocational Specialization (AVS) program is typically taken by a person who has a Diploma of Vocational Studies and wishes to upgrade or improve their skills.
A Diploma of College Studies (DCS) program is a technical training program that prepares a secondary school graduate for specialized occupations that require the application or knowledge of specific well-recognized techniques. Diploma of College Studies programs typically take three years, and in Quebec DCS programs are primarily offered by CEGEPs.
An Attestation of College Studies (ACS) program is a technical college training program that usually takes 12 months and is designed as an adult education program.

degrees or diplomas you have obtained must be included with your Quebec Skilled Worker Program application.
